Project Description

We developed a comprehensive Full Stack Wildlife and Zoo Management System tailored for the Punjab Wildlife Department, aiming to modernize and streamline operations across multiple zoos and wildlife parks in the province. The system was built using modern web technologies with a React.js frontend, Node.js/Express backend, and PostgreSQL as the primary database for robust and secure data management. The project covers the end- to - end digital transformation of animal recordkeeping, habitat monitoring, veterinary schedules, feeding routines, staff management, and visitor engagement.It also includes dynamic dashboards for administrative insights, real- time location tracking of animals within enclosures, and automated alerts for health checkups and habitat safety. We integrated role - based access controls(RBAC) for zoo administrators, wildlife researchers, veterinarians, and support staff, ensuring secure and personalized access to relevant features.Additionally, a mobile - responsive design was implemented to allow on - site staff to manage tasks through tablets or mobile devices. This system not only improves transparency and accountability within the department but also sets the foundation for data - driven decision - making regarding conservation, breeding programs, and public education initiatives.
